Coffee in Kenilworth - late elevenses.

My new racquet
We didn't see this, perhaps we were drinking coffee!

We walked along here.

Jen is here to share celebrating not going to school on day 1.
We had a leisurely breakfast & then went to Coleshill for a game of tennis. The new racquet was a triumph & I was hitting balls over the net & in court after a short time. Thanks to W&K.

We then went to Kenilworth, had coffee (cappuccino for Jen+ an almond & raspberry slice, iced coffee for me & a low fat lemon muffin) in Cafe Nero, & a tootle around the shops.
We then went onto Knowle & then home. Cars washed & dinner with another bottle of wine.

An early start tomorrow to make the most of not going to school, day 2 - tennis then Bicester for a picnic lunch with E & KP & later, a birthday dinner.
Retirement feels pretty good so far.
Watch this space!

I'm happy to hear that the tennis was a success. Keep it up and I am glad to hear that you are enjoying some traditional retiree activities (tea, cake and picnics)

Low fat lemon muffin sounds very healthy - did it taste healthy (sour) as well? William made pan cakes in the weekend, they are probably not very healthy as it is a Nigella Lawson recipe, but very good.
Very glad that you enjoyed the tennis.

Did it take long to master pidgeon Japanese?
