Knobs & knockers......

It was to be a day at Donington Park after Mollie's injection, but........
Apparently, she is not immune for another week so......
Sorting for e bay....

Mollie hasn't decided which is the sunniest stair, yet

Full marks for Waitrose.

A wonderful hour spent in Waitrose, sampled the special offer wines on the way in, had my free cappuccino with a yummy cheese scone then did the week's shopping and had a free Telegraph.
They know how to make you feel wanted.

A new Dyson for Christmas!

Mollie and I have bought a new Dyson cleaner on line.
I did hours of research, she ate my notes.....
We have settled on a Dyson V8 Absolute from Amazon.
Don't tell me that I could have bought it cheaper, it's on the way and I did look at Black Friday deals.

Building the arc......somewhere to put the last few pews!

It rained all day yestery, flooding the yard.
Mollie doesn't yet like rain, so added her bit in the house so the mop and bucket was well used!

Busy weekend, introducing Mollie to the family.
B brought his tool kit, as usual, and put things right in the scullery so that I can use the oven without vacating the kitchen and opening all of the windows.

Mollie made new friends and had a busy day being played with by the grandchildren,
I think that Th taught her some new football moves and KP cuddled her lots!

Deep sleep

After an hour in the garden helping to sweep up leaves...
I'm baking...
Mollie's sleeping.....

Winter through the windows....

Mollies first really white frosty morning.
She enjoyed scampering through the frosty leaves but seemed pleased to come in for a cuddle.
New diet -Bakers Puppy Food, with a little roast chicken for added flavour.
See how it goes.

Meet Mollie

Aka Pretty Pebbles.
A brilliant journey home, licked, played and slept on my lap.
We got out of the car at home and she pooed.
How brill is that!
She is gorgeous.
We just managed to find the KP toy - she loves it.

Winter Wonderland

I intended to post photos of the garden in the frost but it was too cold to go outside so, here is a photo of Th's shoe colllection instead, taken in the warm, after school.

I had my eyes checked by my consultant and my teeth checked today.
All in good nick so I can continue seeing what I'm eating.
Great!

B gave me this bag, in case I forget my position in society.

Saturday 5 November 2016

Bye bye Honda.....

Why is it that anything mechanical starts to work brilliantly and suddenly has new switches and facilities than you had ever realised when you come to sell it?
Queueing up to view/buy the Honda, over 30 watchers and 5 offers so far.
Chap with a trailer coming later so hopefull that I will only own one mower by this evening.

I was standing looking at this view yesterday morning when a cat flew across the lawn from top left, followed by a large fox.
He saw me half way across the lawn and slunk back the way he had come.

Cold weather has arrived so the garden is looking Novemberish.....

The blackbirds haven't attacked the pyracantha berries.....yet
The next time that you see this it will be vertical/the front gate to prevent Mollie from chasing into the road after other mammals.
A little more fencing to be done before M day.....Friday.
I already have an offer of a spouse when she reaches the age of consent - a rather fine black cocker spaniel!
Could be fun.

Should I cut the hydrangea flowers for the house?

Anyone want a fine oak painted chest with brass drop handles?
In to warm up before e baying.

Currently planning. Bonfire Night dinner menu for tonight  - slow roast pork with roast veg and special baked potatoes followed by steamed ginger & pear pudding with toffee sauce.
I did try to get indoor sparklers to put in the starters but couldn't find any.

Tuesday 1 November 2016

Done & dusted....

Housework for over four hours this morning, downstairs is all done apart from steam cleaning the tiled floors.
The dining room is back to it's normal self, minus a few decorative features, having been unused during the summer as we eat in the "morning room", China and glassware from Shardelows on the table whilst decisions were made about what to keep and how to dispose of the rest - Hansons or
e bay.
E bay has had much better returns by far, I suppose that it has a bigger audience and longer to decide whether or not to buy.

A great weekend with the family here, pumpkin lanterns and cakes made.
The new mower arrived and T made a pretty good job of the lawns with some tuition and after I'd done around the edges and the fiddly bits.
Flies round and cuts/picks up leaves well.
Out to Solihull and Kenilworth yesterday visiting and doing jobs
Lots or things to put on e bay when time allows, tomorrow I hope but already a couple of other duties have arisen
10 days before Mollie comes home!
