Sunday 3 August 2014

WW1 commemoration day.

Back from a great week in Bicester helping with the church-run holiday scheme - five mornings of activities, singing and drama with a Christian theme, with a games session on the school field thrown in for good measure.
80 children aged from 4 - 10 were at our venue in a local primary school and a further 40 at the local church, both run by a most joyful group of church members aged from 12 - 70!
T and KP had a wonderful time, even the vacuuming up at the end of the day!

Home on Friday to attend Jamie and Amy's wedding reception in Cannock - a noisy family affair with some KS staff in attendance - a most handsome, well - matched couple.
A late night so a lie-in yesterday followed by brunch and an afternoon of sermon writing ready for today's special service at NW, prepared by the Archbishop or someone very important at Westminster!!
I was not consulted but it was excellent.

I've been for a long walk around the footpaths of Sh and OW (should have been NW, but got lost - I need a walking partner with a sense of direction or GPS)
I'm getting bolder!

Tennis tomorrow if the weather holds.
