Thomas Tuesday.

A lovely sunny day today, just the weather for a trip to the park.
T spent a long time on the baby swings, a good vantage point for investigating all users of the park, especially dogs.

We had a good walk along the Stratford road, before returning home for lunch.
This was followed by a reading session, then football, allowing T to practice two of his new words, "ball & goal".
We have just over-eaten, salad with walnut bread followed by gammon with cauliflower cheese & new potatoes. scrummy. I forgot to mention the chocolate macaroons.

Early to bed, Bournemouth tomorrow for a short break.

I never saw gammon used as the plate before. Looks good but nobody has heard of gammon here and the ham is mostly poor.

Never heard of gammon in Denmark - it's because you export all the pig's a***** to us.

pig's what? I think gammon is not really that good anyway, too salty. The idea of a gammon plate filled with caulifower is horrifying to me! I assume that was an M&S thing...

Talking of pigs, Dickie has finally had a day off, a trip to Copenhagan which has revived his wanderlust and his blog.

Right:
Gammon is great & was not at all salty.
This pic came from the internet, I am not yet competent, proud or sad enough to photograph meals before eating them.
I serve meals on china plates, not on slices of meat.
Our meal was a gammon rasher alongside new potatoes & a sizeable dollop of scrummy cauliflower cheese, with english mustard & black pepper.
