Granny days.

Aj & I have had a couple of days off - touristing!
Yesterday we set off for Bicester, taking a small picnic & heading for Waddeston, the Rothschild mansion  near Bicester.
I have visited many times as the g/children love it - a fairytale house with great grounds & adventure playground.
Aj had not been, so it seemed a good choice for a picnic &somewhere to while away an afternoon.
It was hot, sunny & lived up to expectations, despite the house being fully booked - we can go another day.
We went on to eat with B, E, T & KP, who had returned home from holiday that morning.
KP was so tired she didn't talk - a first!
We caught up on the news & slept well.

This morning B & E went to work, the rest of us had a slower start, eventually leaving about 11.00am, to tour Bicester, including lunch at the new Sainsburys - not to be recommended, the food was disappointing, although T & KP enjoyed theirs - little choice & not very appetising.
We eventually travelled on to Solihull, took on some food at M&S & visited ToysRus for AJ, before coming home.
To ate hot dogs & salad for tea, chilled for a while & then went to church for bell ringing.
T & KP have been to the ringing chamber before, but were fascinated by the activity & the model bell, that had actually been taken up tonight to help me to understand what happens when you pull the sally.
I'm a slow learner - a real dunce, I think.
I don't even remember how to knot the sally at the end of ringing, from one week to the next.
All now in bed - asleep almost instantaneously.

Another hot day tomorrow - amazing!
we hope to play some tennis & go to the playground in Meriden.
Off to bed!
