More Culture!

A good night' sleep, back in our own bed, then up early (for us - 7.30am) as P was dropping J & Th off, to entertain us for the day.
We played, drew, made mobiles & did the Telegraph crossword, before having enormous boiled eggs - laid by B's guitar teacher - & soldiers for lunch.
One was too big for an egg cup!
After lunch we went to Packwood House, which is only a few miles from home for J & Th.
They loved the house - a Tudor mansion, modernised & Victorianised, then returned to a Tudor mansion again in the 1920's by the owner by rescuing Tudor paraphernalia from derelict houses.
They loved the garden even more - The Sermon on the Mount in yews, a sunken garden complete with pond & a kitchen garden with dipping pond all  to be scampered around.
Back to P & A's to cook tea, then home via Meriden for fish & chips (diet starts tomorrow - no real food in).
We were going to the pictures to see "Fishing in the Yemen"??, but it started too late.
Perhaps next week.

Day off tomorrow, Barbers' shop concert at Coleshill Town Hall (just turn up, if you're free) then off to MG to babysit until Sunday night, whilst Gina runs in the London Marathon.
We're hoping to have a picnic lunch on Sunday with B, E, T & KP.
The weather's been very kind to us so far this week, please let the rain hold off .

Is Ben taught by a hen ? or A surprising versatile individual?

Versatile, sock & sandal wearing entrepreneurial type, I think.
What a coup, though, to include the egg-laying, & during guitar lessons, I understand.
Sometimes she manages 18 during the hour.
