Elevenses, well-earned

This am I ran around the reservoir.
I was v pleased with myself & opted to shop in Solihull & have my elevenses in John Lewis- a cheese scone & a cup of decaff tea.
I have written tomorrow's sermon on Luke 12,
been to Iain & Kat's evening wedding reception in Tamworth, (best wishes)
had a meal at the Ivory Tusk in Fazeley
tried v hard to put photos on this blog, & failed.
Bother.
I haven't read the paper yet & it's now late.

We are recovering from a very traumatic day all round yesterday. We have eaten elevenses (i.e cake, mostly Auntie Sian's coffee cake, with a bit of her lemon cake, and topped off with a chocolate cake from the farm kitchens) non-stop since in an effort to feel better about everything. We're still not quite recovered, so Ben bought a raspberry sponge and a coconut sponge too. That should do it, but you never know.

Did I cause the trauma, I ask myself?
I think that this may or may not be a rhetorical question.
I do not think that eating cake ever improved situations, in the longer term; something to do with guilt complexes &/or indigestion.
I sense that you are confusing "elevenses" with an excuse for gross self-indulgence.
I have just calculated that "yesterday" was Sat. & so the trauma was not induced by me.
good.
Hope the prom was a success.

I don't think we have any big traumas to recover from (other than being in Denmark) - so no cake, but W did make croissants Sunday morning.

Sounds like fiveses to me - all those cakes. Gross over indulgence - does that suggest that you have 139 more to go? Glad the diet is going well!
