Cat napping

That was the week that was!

Why does my new post disappear after two minutes, so I have to blog, publish and edit.
A bit disconcerting.
Anyway, a busy week, apart from the Trump fiasco, last word ever about that appalling man.

Walsgrave Hospital on Monday, given a fortnight's grace for my eye to put itself right, a 10% chance.
Back to Slimming World for a late weigh in, after my first week.
5lb lost, so very self righteous.
Tuesday spent in the garden, clearing shrubs and getting on with fencing across the front hedge, almost done.
Wednesday was Margaret Shaw's funeral at Shustoke followed by cremation and a wake at The Coleshill Hotel in the Cameo Suite.
An up lifting experience and well attended - M was 90 and had been suffering dementia and in a home for 4 years.
Thursday to Kenilworth to sort K's mum
Friday afternoon and evening and all day Saturday at the Wedding Barns at their open event, advising on church weddings and our parish churches in particular.
We were treated very well, amazing food on offer, proseco, coffee and packed lunches on Sat.
It's a lovely welcoming venue with great staff and great reports from all of our church wedding couples who hold their receptions there.
I went on to Over Whitacre Hall to clean as we're serving tea and cakes there on Monday after Muriel's funeral as the wake is in Stafford, rather a long way for some to travel.
M was a great cook who helped me a good deal in the past.
Church this morning followed by breakfast then a two hour walk across the fields/ footpaths off Shawberry Lane.
I now have cakes to make for M's wake tomorrow and lamb to roast for dinner.
We have had a good ramble across the fields nearly every day for an hour or so, to tire Mollie.
She bounds along for miles, nose to the ground but never tires!

Epiphany visit to The Memorial Arboretum.

Two services to take this morning -Epiphany - then a trip to The Memorial Arboretum with KW, who is a great guide, having helped to set it up and worked as a volunteer for a good few years before it was adopted by The British Legion.
Mollie enjoyed the "Dog. walk" along the river Thame.
Fascinating afternoon.

Epiphany comes early!

The last blog made mollie look much larger than she is, I guess that she is about 3kg, three times her weight when we first had her but really still quite small and very energetic.
Today three of us undressed the Xmas trees in church, piled them ready for a bonfire and cleaned up after them.
Mollie and I were there from 10.00 - 4.30pm.
She had great fun, eventually falling asleep on the sack of tinsel at about 4.00 pm.
We've been to The Bull at Furnace End for a meal, knackered!
